"Hi, I'm Ian. Liveseys was started by my uncle in 1968, and I took over the business in 1995 and have built it up over the last 28 years.
It's been a huge blessing for our family. Many clients have become great friends, and seeing their own kids grow up and drive and become clients. It's been rewarding, hectic, lots of variety with classic, custom and new vehicles, some amazing staff, and plenty of fun along the way.
I'm now ready to take a break and pursue my other passion – aviation. So it's time for someone new to take over the business, look after our clients, add their own ideas and make it their own."

Staff
Liveseys is currently operating with two mechanics. While the business owner Ian is one of these mechanics, our second experienced mechanic is available to stay on board and work with the new owners. Three mechanics is the ideal number to keep up with the workload.
Website and branding
We offer honest, old-fashioned service and our business branding has been designed to reflect this. The Liveseys logo is featured on our signage, website, merch and uniforms.
Online we have a website used to reach new clients, Google my Business profile and with 43 reviews, and a Facebook page.
Workshop
The workshop is a large space with four hoists, high roof suitable to lift trucks and passenger buses, has a large rear yard with wash bay and space for trucks to turn around in, and is located on a busy road with excellent street frontage. While it is not a new building, it's size and features have been a huge asset to the business. The workshop can be on a long-term lease for the new business owner.
Livesey’s Motor Works issued over 1000 invoices in FY23. This includes around 250 Roadworthy testing certificates and mechanical work for over ??? clients. This was all completed by two mechanics.

About the Area
Morwell is centrally located in the Latrobe Valley in Gippsland, Victoria.
The city is known for its role as a major energy production centre for Victoria as the centre of a major coal mining and fossil-fuel power generation industry.
Today it is home to numerous central government services and 'hubs', creating a busy area for government employees. Housing in Morwell and surrounding towns is affordable for young families to buy their own home. Education options include public and private schools as well as Gippsland Tech School, and tertiary study is offered at TAFE Gippsland and Federation University nearby.
